RESEARCH GOALS
"We are excited to present the second in a series of deep-dive research studies from the partnership between The MRKT and mitú InTell, the research division within mitú. Over the coming months and years, mitú InTell and The MRKT will explore the attitudes, values and behaviors of the diverse Latino community as they relate to various topics. Our hope is to inform, surprise, confirm and most of all to reveal the motivations and beliefs of a community that, despite its demographic and economic power, is still all too invisible.
In this second issue of mitú InTell, we explore the financial state of the U.S. Latino community. With our friends at HyperFocus ROI, we surveyed 1,500 Hispanics and non-Hispanics about their attitudes and behaviors around personal financial management, budgeting, taxes, financial goals, banking, home ownership, loans/credit and savings.
Eighty-five percent (85%) of the survey respondents are either Gen Xers, Millennials or members of Gen Z, therefore our research findings focus on these younger generations and their non-Hispanic counterparts. Please use these findings as a tool and resource to support your conversations and understanding of financial literacy within the Latino community."
